Faculty LibGuide: Information Literacy

This guide is to show what library resources and services are available to faculty.

Online Request Procedures

  1. Provide all requested information so that we may better prepare for your session.
  2. Submit only one class session at a time.
  3. Submit your request 5 working days in advance of the instruction date request.
  4. The course instructor's attendance is required at all library instruction sessions.

Library a la Carte

Once your students have the basic library skills, it is time for them to learn how to research information in the disciplines.  We invite you to collaborate with a librarian to "build your own" customized library class--tailored to your discipline and the research skills your students will need for your class.  All classes will include hands-on practice to allow students to apply what they learn.  Choose 1-3 items, depending on your students' needs and your available time.  Examples of things you might want to include:

  • Books & audiovisuals for your discipline
  • Databases for your discipline
  • Introduction to KnightCite
  • Guided research time

Call the library at 830-591-7254 to discuss what you would like us to include in a library instruction session tailored to your class.
